EPG continues to expand multiple services by leasing spaces to private companies

Emirates Post Group continues to add services of private companies in post offices by leasing spaces to other service providers engaged in related and complementary activities.

This is part of EPG's strategy of making post offices one-stop shops for a variety of public services. Since the launch of the new strategy from early 2012, a number of companies have already launched their operations from the post offices, including travel agencies and business centres.

A number of companies are in the process of signing up for the rented spaces in post offices, including some banks, to enable Emirates Post customers to pay for their shipments and the surrounding community to do cash transactions.

"Private companies that sign up with Emirates Post Group will be governed by a set of rules," said Chief Commercial Officer Mr. Ibrahim Bin Karam. "Emirates Post seeks to widen the basket of services available to our customers by signing up with private companies."

"We are witnessing a strong demand for the spaces in post offices. However, we are selective in deciding the type of businesses that would be allowed to operate from our premises. Each applicant is considered on a case-by-case basis," added Bin Karam.

Companies operating from post offices are required to follow the same working hours as the post offices. Most post offices are open from 8 am to 9 pm; however a few are open only up to 3 pm.

Companies wishing to lease spaces in post offices should contact the Commercial Department of Emirates Post Group located at the Head Office Building in Umm Al Ramool, Dubai.
